The Dark Side of Information Technology

In recent years, digital technologies have been transforming workplaces and increasing economic productivity. But could overuse of information technology now be sapping employees’ — and organization’s — well-being?

The technology is playing a vital role in transforming the companies by making them give up traditional ways of doing things to more of technology dependent. But it has its own pros and cons.
Pros being that lesser time in taken in doing most of the work related to data storage, availablilty of resources at a click and connectivity between the employees regarding their work. But perhaps, the negative implications 's being that technology in one way is degrading our basic values. Where the trust building is more dependent on technology based systems. There is less of communication between the employees and more transformation of texts through emails and other modes.
In one way, where we are heading towards transparency of the systems in an organisation, we are also making ourselves being dependent on technology which is ever changing.

Information Technology has definitely reduced the manpower as more work can be done with less man power. Humans are more dependent on technology and the creativity has reduced. We depend on technology for all our questions and their answers. Life without technology has become unimaginable and that is not a good sign

Despite the fact that we cannot really ignore that there are a number of ways in which information technology negatively impacts us and our society, for the better part it has greatly helped to make out lives better. Technology has greatly helped us to become more efficient thus increasing our productivity. It has also helped us a great deal to be able to save on many resources such as time and money and these are great benefits that cannot be ignored. It has also worked well in bringing unity into the world by turning it into a global village which has in turn helped people to more easily overcome their cultural, racial and continental barriers.

In modern era we can not imagine our life without Information Technology BUT like everything it also has its pros and cons. No doubt that use of IT has made our work easier but on the other side human are becoming inactive. It has also affected our creativity in negative manner. Now we are trusting on IT more than ourselves. Now a days IT is also a reason for many crimes.
Basically it depends on person to person how he/she is using the technology.

Everything has its advantages and disadvantages, same is Information Technology. It also comes up with its advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand it makes our work easier and on the other hand it makes a person lazy. Human beings these days are fully dependent on Information Technology which includes storing of each and everything from contacts to passwords. It is affecting the human brain as people are not able to remember anything. For everything one needs to look up to technology and always how it can make one's life easier. So, one should use technology but mostly which helps them and not affects them.

As we all know Information Technology plays a very vital role in nowadays scenerio. It helps us in various dfiferent levels of our work. Nowadys all the works are done through online
But as we say that if somethings have good ways they have bad ways too.
Information technology have its dark phase that nowadys all the works are done through online it may cause that our work or info gets leaked or the hackers may  also do something wrong with our sites or work etc.

I strongly agree with the opinion of my friends that every thing has its both way negative or positive. Its depend upon the person who uses it.
Information Technology become the part of our life. But the dark side is that people are using IT in a wrong way. "Hacking" is the biggest example of misuse of IT. "Cyber crime" is also a big issue now-a-days is again related to IT.
I am not saying that IT is not worth at all but the people who are using it in a wrong should not deserve to be a user of IT.

Technology is killing human imagination!
Very correctly said, humans have created the technology. Every scientific invention and discovery is the imagination and creation of human mind. Technology should be used as a tool to develop and invent better techniques. Those who treat technology as a tool get a better help and living, rather than those who restrict themselves and get tied to the technology. While technology has allowed us some means of social connection that would have never been possible before, and has allowed us to maintain long-distance friendships that would have otherwise probably fallen by the wayside, the fact remains that it is causing ourselves to spread ourselves too thin, as well as slowly ruining the quality of social interaction that we all need as human beings.

Undoubtedly we are living in a technology addicted world and this is so that in last few years the technology has developed so rapidly that as a result it became a superpower,completely controlling our work and life.
So yes to some extent we are overusing it and it is resulting in misuse like hacking,crimes,unethical works etc.Hence every coin has two sides similarly technology is having a darker side too but we should try to expand its positive effects so that the darker side becomes negligible.

The impact of information technology overload is felt not only in business circles but also in many other parts of society.It has also made employees work under greater mental pressure and sense of anxiety and pessimism.Technology Can Put Privacy and Safety at Risk like Improper use of technology can expose a child to numerous risks. Children who use technology may unwittingly share information that can put them in danger. We don’t suggest ignoring what technology can offer but we should try to make proper use of it.

Technology has both positive and negative sides. If we use it for positive things, it will have positive effect of our lives and vice versa. Nobody would oppose the development of technologies in any sector but the developments should be in a positive way and they should not have any negative impact on present or future generations.

As we know that Information Technology has helped in shaping both the business world and society but it doesn't means that it does not have any negative impact.Today Technology has replaced most of the positions which humans used to occupy like now Accounting is done by Software instead of Accountants ,Small business failed to afford for expensive Technology .It makes people less innovate and active.Hence every thing has both positive and negative impact so we should try to focus on the positive impacts.

The dark side of information technology from business point of view -:
business always try to minimize cost but IT become ongoing expanse as purchasing cost,maintenance,update,training expanse.
we daily read about cyber crimes as stealing consumer information and costing customers and companies millions of dollars.

Though the technology has developed so far but still there are so many disadvantages of technology.for example earlier people use to go for morning walk or jogging in an open environment like park,garden and all which was very effective as far as health is concern but now a days instead of going outside people are using tread mill machine to walk on it in a close room or a hall.there are number of example like this.now-a-days all because of technology like smart phones,i pads and other electronic gadgets even family members do not have time for each other,children of today's generation do not go for outdoor games ,they usually play games in laptops ,computers,online games which effect eyes as well as causes obesity.

The dark side of IT is not so dark as the advantages are more as compared to limitations in my ponint of view. Yes their are use and misuse of everything .Sometimes technology is also being used in bad manner and their are bunch of examples in front of us as somebody leaked some important data and everyday we come to know about some social issue related to this.The only thing we can do is do our best and use rather than misuse because we are the people who make society and country, so one need to improve firstly before the whole nation.

"The dark side of technology" I feel is all upto how you percieve things. As the coin has two sides and so does technology has but i feel in recent years technology grow tremendously and the benefits which we are getting makes our lives easier. Because of technology we can access to everything by just a single click.

The Dark Side of Technology is very much evident in our daily lives in the form of our dependency on the gadgets which we use in our daily lives. This is rising day by day as we have been using the technology tremendously in a negative way and harming our environment.

The benefits of technology far outweighs the perils and dangers that are so often the focus of people's mind. With the improved technology even the cyber crimes are increasing these days. With the help of technology we can get anything in one click but it is important to use it in a correct manner without misusing it.

The dark side of technology is the increased number of scams and of course the complications social media has created. People get cyber bullied everyday and this has made people less trustworthy.
Some frauds that take place with use of Information Technology are not understood by most of the world population as hackers have come up with very innovative ideas of extracting your information and because of this many people suffer huge loss.

The dark side of IT, being a student, i may not be the right person commenting on this, but yet i am confident enough that everyone of us might have faced some or the other problem because of daily advancement in IT. Well I rarely say anything without proof, we all are facing problem in posting in the discussion forum, this may result in getting us low grades for our self and hence it can also be considered as the dark side of IT.
This is the basic problem, but beside this also, other high level crimes are also taking place due to which many of us suffer aswell. This include retrieving data of other firms via hacking, and many more.

Increase of technology reduces human power and creativity, although its saves our time, money and manpower but still we are influenced with technology..
technology benefits us as well as harms us, the increase of social networking deviated us from our family and world. cyber crime is increasing day by day because we are dying to learn more and more and to implement it, it doesn't matter either it's good or not

Everything has two aspects i.e positive and negative.Though technology has its own negative impact too. On a regular basis, we often talk about what is the latest technology going on in the market with the intention of development . But we have to think that technology is there to make your life EASY but not LAZY. Most of the people use technology for selfish meaningfull/less purpose which representing the bad example.It might affect them too.So use the technology wisely..

As I and all are observing that gradually virtual world is shinning much more in comparison to the real world.
If we see in terms of management, corporates working under corporate office, MNCs, FMCG etc.  are very much accustomed with the huge application of IT to work fluently and comfortably which makes them to be associated with their work ethics. we improvised technology and I think, now, technology is controlling us rather we should be controlling it.
