Gross merchandise value is the total sales value of goods sold through a marketplace. Most companies surveyed are also evaluating other revenue streams such as advertising and online content to better leverage their platform

Te new emerging market now a days is E-Commerce.
Now the focus of E-commerce marketing is on E-Retailers, so the company get products in huge quantity with a cheap price, so the customer is ready to buy the product.
Some times it become the monopoly for the company to sell a  particular product.
For example :
Amazon is the only seller of "ONE PLUS" series smartphone or we say it has monopoly over the product.
That's why the E-commerce is focusing on E-retailers.

E-Retailers means selling of goods and services through online or by means of internet and yes, it also includes B2B and B2C. Basically E-commerce is focusing on E-retailers for beneficial purpose from both side. The purpose is that nowadays everyone used to prefer E-commerce and people want every kind of product available on sites like we can say that myntra,flip-kart and etc.,.So through E-commerce; E-retailers can sell their products more easily rather than physical selling. Thats why E-commerce focusing on E-retailers.

E commerce is the trading of goods and services through computer networks.It is focusing more on retailers because they act as intermediaries for any enterprise.Moreover they are directly linked with the consumers and hence they can easily bridge the gap between the enterprise and consumers.This is a measure to attract the tech savvy customers.Instead of distracting their focus in different fields,these companies are focusing on specific target i.e retailers and they will indirectly improves the revenues of the companies.

Nowadays e-commerce has the pool market. Its prime focus is on the e-retailers so that they have ample supply and can sell out in the market at will. Because of the emerging market of e commerce it requires e-retailers for multiple purposes. As E-retailers play a major role in the demand-supply chain, they are also involved in the profit quotients of the company.

E-commerce is becoming a basic need now a days.people are preferring to shop online instead of visiting market and bargain there.by putting all these needs and wants in the mind E-commerce people are basically focusing the E-retailers in order to fulfill demand of a customer,give them satisfaction and yes of course to attract the new customers as well.focusing on good E-retailer leads to the efficiency of supply chain service and customer satisfaction.
